Boy charged with shooting dad's pregnant lover
An 11 year old boy allegedly shot his father's pregnant girlfriend in the back of the head while she was lying in bed in their western Pennsylvania farmhouse, then got on the school bus and went to school, the authorities said.
Jordan brown was charged last Saturday as an adult in the death of the 26 year old Kenzie Marie Houk, who was eight months pregnant, Lawrence county district John Bongivengo said.
Under Pennsyvania law, anyone over the age of 10 accused of murder or homicide is charged as an adult. If convicted, the boy face a maximum sentence of life in prison, Mr Bongivengo was quoted as saying by CNN.
Ms Houk's family and friends told the Associated Press that she had problems with the boy in the past. "There was an issue with jealousy," said Ms Houk's brother-in-law, Mr Jason Kraner, 34. "He actually told my son that he wanted to do that to her."
Jordan, the son of Ms Houk's live-in boyfriend, was charged with criminal homicide and criminal homicide of an unborn child, Mr Bongivengo said.
He was picked up from school last Friday after police found Ms Houk's body. Her four-year old daughter told tree cutters on the property she thought her mother was dead. A gun was believed to have been found in the boy's bedroom.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This is an event story because this article was written after the boy had killed Ms Houk. This event has influenced the writer to write about this article, thus it is an event story. To support my opinion, an event story ends when the wrong has been righted and in this article, the boy has been arrested in the end.

I feel that this kind of event should not happen as the boy is still not mature enough to understand what his father needs. He should not be jealous as he was given enough attention and even if he was not, he should not have resorted to such means as to kill Miss Houk. Although all odds are against the boy, his father also had a part to do with Miss Houk getting killed. He should have talked to his son about what is going on and also ask him to try to get along with her as with her family. Also, from the way Mister Jason Kraner talked to the reporter, I can feel that he does not like the boy at all.
